Colin’s love of travel and the outdoors began in childhood, growing up on the East Sussex coast with easy access to the South Downs National Park. The park’s stunning views, from rolling hills down to the sea, sparked his lifelong appreciation for nature.

After university, Colin pursued a career in IT, working in Canary Wharf until the end of 2016. Now based in north-west London, he has more time to immerse himself in the outdoors, observing the world around him.

"I start with a visual idea for a shot, carefully planning the how, where, and when—but nature always has her own plans. Sometimes, everything comes together beautifully; more often, it calls for a return trip."

"Night photography reveals far more than the eye can see. What appears as a dark canvas becomes a scene illuminated with soft, beautiful colours, brought to life by the camera—our greatest ally in the night."

Colin was interviewed by ITV News for a feature on local and network television.

This was during a Natural World Photography workshop in Dorset in Aug 2021.
